Squirrels Pest Control

The Grey Squirrel is not a native British animal having been introduced in the 19th century. This means that once it is trapped in a cage trap it becomes illegal to release it into the wild once more. They are now very common visitors to gardens and are often to be found in roof spaces having entered through gaps around the roofline. Once there they are capable of significant damage by chewing roof timbers, stripping insulation from water pipes and water tanks and shredding fibre glass insulation as well as chewing the network of electrical cabling to be found in lofts, in some cases resulting in fire.
